RAINBOW VALLEY TOUR
History & Colors of the Atacama Desert

Price: US$38 per person
Schedule: Half-Day Tour

RAINBOW VALLEY TOUR
Discover one of the most fascinating and least explored areas of San Pedro de Atacama. Rainbow Valley is renowned for its spectacular geological formations and colorful mountains, shaped over millions of years by volcanic activity, sedimentation, and erosion, creating one of the most unique landscapes in the world.
The vibrant shades of red, green, white, ochre, and yellow covering the hillsides give the valley its name. Each color represents different minerals found within the rocks, making this destination a true open-air geological museum.
The tour also includes a visit to the Yerbas Buenas Petroglyphs, one of the most important archaeological sites in northern Chile. Here, you will discover hundreds of ancient rock carvings created by the Atacameño people and indigenous caravans that traveled these routes centuries ago, leaving behind an extraordinary record of the Atacama Desert's pre-Columbian history.
This excursion perfectly combines nature, archaeology, culture, and history, making it an excellent choice for travelers looking to discover a different side of the Atacama Desert.
