Departure from San Pedro de Atacama toward the Andean Altiplano, beginning a gradual ascent to some of the highest and most spectacular landscapes in the region.

7:30 AM – 7:45 AM | Breakfast on the Route

Breakfast served along the route while enjoying the sunrise between the volcanoes of the Andes Mountains.

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM | Altiplanic Lagoons

Our first stop will be at the stunning high-altitude lagoons, where the contrast between the water, sky, and mountains creates a truly unique landscape. This area is also home to Andean flamingos and other native bird species.

11:00 AM – 11:20 AM | Salar de Talar Viewpoint

We will continue to one of the most impressive panoramic viewpoints of the tour, offering spectacular views of the salt flat and the surrounding volcanic landscape.

11:20 AM – 12:30 PM | Red Rocks

Arrival at the Salar de Aguas Calientes and Red Rocks area. Here, we will enjoy a gentle walk to admire the volcanic red rock formations and turquoise lagoons that have made this destination one of the most iconic images of the Atacama Desert.

Time for Photography and Exploration

Free time to explore the area, take photographs, and enjoy the peaceful silence of the Altiplano in one of Chile’s most extraordinary natural landscapes.

1:40 PM – 2:50 PM | Lunch in Toconao

Visit to the charming village of Toconao, where we will enjoy traditional Chilean cuisine from the northern region of the country.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Visit to Chaxa Lagoon

We will visit Chaxa Lagoon, a flamingo reserve located within the Atacama Salt Flat. From the viewing platforms, visitors can observe several species of flamingos and the rich biodiversity of the area.

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM | Return to San Pedro de Atacama

Departure back to San Pedro de Atacama with scenic stops along the way, arriving in town in the late afternoon.
